Hotels in Barbados

Holidays to Barbados are a chance to kick back and adjust to the Bajan way of life, with lazy days sipping cocktails by the sea. Most of the resorts are scattered along the western coast, with pristine beaches bordered by swaying palms. But there's plenty of fun to be had off the beach, and holidays in Barbados can be action-packed if you wish to explore this majestic island.

No holiday to Barbados would be complete without a sip of the region's most famous export - Rum, and you can take a tour of the Mount Gay Rum and Malibu factories - the free cocktails are a definite highlight! Whether you take a local bus tour or hire a car and make your own island trail, head to the Atlantic Coast for the breathtaking natural landmarks of Harrison's Cave, Farley National Park and the Wildlife Reserve. Hit the road and you'll catch a glimpse of authentic Bajan life, from cricket greens and sugarcane fields to quaint clapboard Churches.

Active holiday makers will be more than occupied on holidays to Barbados, with three top-class Golf courses at the exclusive Sandy Lane Resort, and two other championship courses to test your putting skills. The rugged beauty of Bathsheba and Soup's Bowl bay on the East Coast is a haven for divers.

Holidays in Barbados liven up when night falls, with many of the main hotels hosting live entertainment and music. The 'Gap' at St Lawrence is close to the main exclusive resorts and the bustling hub of island nightlife, with colourful bars pumping out reggae and 'soca' and several excellent restaurants if you fancy straying from your hotel.
