Hotels in Brazil

A vast country, Brazil is home to the world's largest tropical rainforest, thousands of miles of beaches and internationally renowned and revered cities; on holidays to Brazil you will find all this and much, much more. Discover an astounding variety of natural and cultural wonders in a country that is truly spectacular!

Rio de Janeiro is sassy and sophisticated, but head up the coast to Salvador de Bahia to dance to a different beat. Salvador is a paradox of pretty colonial squares and pastel coloured houses mixed with an incredible African influence and warmth that makes this city shine. Rio maybe home to Ipanema and Copacabana, but on holidays to Brazil you will discover, close to Salvador, the incredible beach resorts of Praia do Forte and Costa do Sauipe, which perfectly mix sandy paradises with wild, untouched nature.

Away from the beaches and cities, Brazil's unparalleled natural treasures intrigue and delight visitors, from the iconic Amazon, the most bio-diverse place on Earth that has inspired so many journeys and evokes images of adventure, dense rainforests and abundant wildlife, to Iguaçu Falls, argued to be the most beautiful waterfalls in the world!

Brazil is a stunning country with an extraordinary melting pot of races and cultures, making Brazil the remarkable nation it is today. Friendly, laidback and open, the Brazilians genuinely love life and will make you feel very welcome on your holiday to Brazil.

Brazil Travel Notes

When to go: The climate is predominantly tropical with some variation according to the region. The average annual temperature in the north is 28°C and 22°C in the south. Salvador and resorts nearby (Praia do Forte, Costa do Sauipe, Bahia) have agreeable temperatures all year round between 25-30°C, with a rainy season that begins around the beginning of April, and lasts about three months. The high season in Rio is summer (December to March) but off-season (May to October) is also a good option with temperatures not lower than 10-15°C. In the Amazon region, instead, rainy season begins December to mid-May. Enjoy Iguaçu Falls at its best at the end of the rainy season (heaviest during Dec to Feb) or during dry season (typically from April to July).
