Hotels in Mexico
Stay in Mexico hotels, and you can take your pick from a serene beach retreat, or a party-packed holiday on Cancun's shores. Mexico's Caribbean coastline guarantees acres of spotless sand and crystal waters, fringed by tropical palms, but each beach resort has its own Latin flavour.
Super-stylish beach bums stay on the Riviera Maya, Mexico's chicest shore, and can be found in the hip beach bars drinking ice-cold margaritas when night falls. For a livelier party scene on holidays to Mexico, head to Spring Break favourite Cancun, with its colourful beach parties and vibrant night clubs.
There are plenty of tasty treats in store on holidays in Mexico, whether you dine in an open-air beach café or in an intimate taverna, but be prepared for fiery taste buds - whatever gets stuffed in your flour tortilla, we can guarantee it will be spicy!
Shopaholics adore Mexico, for the bargain boho chic of leather goods and handmade jewellery available at the Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta Markets. The large malls in Cancun offer more upscale shopping options.
Thrill-seekers can take part in the wide range of water sports available at the all-inclusive hotels in Mexico, with snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and boogie boarding on offer at Puerto Vallarta, and anything from parachuting to jungle trekking available on dry land. The Palacar Reef is excellent for scuba-diving, and kids keen to swim with dolphins or spot humpback whales from a boat can in Cancun.
Mexico has a rich cultural heritage and hundreds of ancient sites to explore - Chichen Itza and Tulum are the best places to explore the fascinating Mayan ruins.
