About Turtle Bay
Turtle Bay, or Baie aux Tortues, named on behalf of the many turtles that flock to this area, is Mauritius' first Marine National Park, preserving much of the island's underwater life. Its endless white sandy beach is protected by a coral reef with superb snorkelling and diving opportunities. Just a few metres away lies the 62 acre Balaclava estate, dating back to the 18th century. Mysterious ruins stand as a testament to colonial times while meandering footpaths allow for long strolls through the estate's lush gardens with its magnificent mountain views. The resort is ideally located just 15 minutes away from Port Louis and Grand Baie.
