Day 01
Meet and greet at Dar es Saalam airport for your onwards flight to Saadani (depart 0815/arrive 0845), on arrival transfer to the lodge for lunch. Choose from a range of activities including game drive, walking safari, boat ride on the Wami River or snorkelling in the Indian Ocean. The lodge includes one activity per day with other activities payable locally. Overnight in the Saadani Safari Lodge (B,L,D).
Saadani National Park
Tanzania's most recently gazetted national park, Saadani is the only national park in East Africa with ocean frontage and therefore, the only place that can genuinely lay claim to offering beautiful beaches and safari in a single location. Geographically it is the closest National Park to both Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar and as it is a coastal park it is the only place one can see wildlife and birdlife interacting on the coast. There are at least 24 species of large mammals found here and the beach area is a breeding ground for the green turtle.
Saadani Safari Lodge
The safari lodge is comfortably furnished and delightfully perched on the edge of the ocean, a stones-throw from all the wonders of the park.
Day 02 & 03
Make the most of the above activities to explore the park with two days at leisure. The lodge includes one activity per day with other activities payable locally. Two nights in the Saadani Safari Lodge (B,L,D).
Day 04
Morning transfer back to Saadani airstrip for your onwards flight back to Dar es Salaam (depart 0900/arrive 1000) (B).
